How to build a reliable loadout
Beatspell mode lets you carry up to 3 spells into a stage, swappable at the chapter menu. Spells level up during a stage as you defeat enemies, so your starting choice shapes the whole run. The key isbalance over raw damage — a loadout that keeps you alive long enough to level up beats one that front-loads power but falls apart on a bad phase.
- Include Cure early on. While you are learning enemy patterns, Cure sustain is worth more than an extra damage spell.
- Fire is your anchor damage spell. Its two-beat sequence is the easiest to land consistently at all spell levels.
- Save Wave or Lightning for boss phases. Their higher damage ceilings matter most when you are fighting a Four Fears boss at the end of a stage.
- Account for enemy resistances. Some enemies take reduced damage from certain spells — check the chapter overview before locking in your loadout.
- Verify in-game. Spell names, damage values, and exact sequences are based on community data — confirm against the in-game Beatspell menu before a serious run.
